Re-Creation of Lie To Me opening sequence

This is my re creation of  the Lie To Me opening sequence. I was in a group of 4. we all analysed the sequence and made sure we knew exactly what clips we needed to get to create this. 2 of us then went and got all the actors and recorded the shots and got all the clips. We all uploaded it onto the mac and edited and put the clips together in the right order. We missed out a few shots as we couldn't get them to the standards we wanted them.

Analysis of Titles and Transitions - Iron Man

Iron Man is a Action/Adventure film. The genre of this film is shown through the title sequence.
The use of the comic like typography connotes the action/adventure aspect to this film.
It then cuts to more comic typography with knifes in the background. This suggests the film is going to be an action adventure as weapons are a main prop in an action film.
The use of the colours in this shot make it seem like theres a lot going on foreshadowing the further events in this film. This conforms to a action/adventure film as there is always a lot going on.
This shot has a variety of colours. The use of Iron Mans costume connotes superior. it also suggests action from the fact he's dressing up hiding his real identity which happens a lot in action movies.

Analysis of Titles and Transitions - The Incredibles

The Incrdibles is a childrens superhero film, it makes this clear through the use of the titles at the begining. and the use of non diagetic music which is very superhero like.

The title sequence starts off with bold typography of the films title with each incredible running to the front of the screen making them seem superior as there is a yellow light shining around them. From here we can already see this is a superhero film.

It then cuts to this title of the executive producer with the son of The Incredibles running across of the top of the screen, the use of the line at the back of him represents him as superior which relates to a superhero film.
In this shot it shows music notes which look very childish showing us the target audience for this film is young children.
This shot is very effective as the use of the cartoon graphics and typography we can clearly see that this is a children's superhero/adventure film.

Analysis of Titles and Transitions - Avengers

AVENGERS

The titles here represent an action film as the typography is bold and simple this suggests that there is going to be some action throughout this film.
After fading into this shot the typography here looks more metalic foreshadowing the metalic costumes used for the protagonists. This also could suggest weapons are going to be used throughout the movie which is a convention of an acion film.

It then cuts to this shot of a weapon which is a main convention of an action film. with bold metallic looking typography showing a significance to the use of metal and weapons throughout this film which conforms alot to an action movie.

This shot of the costume with the metallic titles is very significant as it give you an insight to a costume used in the movie showing us its a superhero type film. The metallic typography again foreshadows the use of metal in the costumes giving the audience a sense of action. The music playing throughout this open sequence has a fast pace slowing down at some points. The pace of the music matches the pace of the titles when they fade in and out.

Story outline

Masking identities is a psychological thriller about a teenage girl called Faith who socialises online and comes across a 'teenage boy' called Carl who she gets talking to, they get pretty close and start sharing personal information between each other becoming something some would call an 'online relationship'. As they get closer they begin making plans to meet up. They eventually meet up but giving Faith a serious surprise and she realises 'Carl' was nothing like what he made himself out to be. After realising the real him, Faith starts to distance herself from him, while he's already deeply in love with her and develops a very obsessive nature, with ghastly consequences.
